Jake is from the small town of Van, Texas located 25 miles Southeast of Code One headquarters. He attended Louisiana Tech University majoring in professional aviation with a minor in business finance. After graduating November of 2021, he immediately started instructing for Louisiana Tech. Jake was soon asked to help instruct at Code One which started in March of 2022. Jake was involved with many collegiate groups to include serving as the treasurer of Louisiana Tech’s Precision flight team. His plans are to become a commercial airline pilot flying for any major cargo or passenger company.

Excellent instructors! The airport is perfect for learning to fly since it's uncontrolled (allowing you to focus on flying, not on Air Traffic Control), and there are very few other planes flying in and out of the area. Everything about the experience has felt personal (they genuinely care about every student), comfortable (the instructors are very easy to learn from, the airport is small and comfortable), and flexible (working around my schedule and adjusting based on my specific learning styles). Code 1 is 5 stars!
