2019 Code 1 Rates and Why

Code 1 Flight Training’s mission is to provide high quality flight instruction to current and prospective pilots in the East Texas area through the use of modern instructional techniques and state of the art equipment. To achieve this goal, the school’s Cessna 172 instrument panel has been upgraded to today’s modern standards— an IFR GPS
(Garmin 430), a new ADS-B/transponder (Stratus ESGi), and new electronic attitude and heading indicators (two Garmin G-5s).

These panel upgrades, combined with our new One-G AATD flight simulator give us the ability to expose new students to today’s technologically advanced avionics environment at an early stage in their flying careers
and at a much lower cost than found in schools with newer airframes that have similar equipment. They also allow instrument students to learn to operate the same advanced avionics equipment during their training that they will encounter after completing their certification. We believe this equipment is a vital part of our curriculum as we prepare our students to successfully aviate in the National Airspace System of the future.

To cover the cost of these modernization upgrades, we have slightly increased our rates for 2019. This will allow us to recoup the cost of the upgrades while continuing to provide the same high quality, client centered instruction that is Code 1’s trademark. Look forward to seeing you in 2019!
